Paddleboat, Kayak and Canoe Rentals

Rent a paddleboat, kayak or canoe at the park concession stand. In-season rental times are Monday through Saturday, 11 a.m.-7 p.m., and Sunday, 1-7 p.m. Children 12 and under must have an adult in the boat and wear life jackets, which are provided. 

* Two-seater paddleboat: $3 per half hour
* Four-seater paddleboat: $4 per half hour
* Single kayak: $6 per hour
* Tandem kayak: $8 pe

* Canoe: $8 per hour

Note: The concession stand is open Saturday and Sunday starting the first weekend in April through Memorial Day. From Memorial Day until Putnam County schools are back in session, it is open daily. It remains open Saturday and Sunday from the time schools reopen through October.

Equipment Rentals

Athletic equipment such as basketballs, volleyballs, disc golf discs and fishing poles may be rented at the concession stand for $1 per hour.

Shelter Rentals


Fishing

The lake, well stocked with rainbow trout, large-mouth bass, bluegill, crappie, carp and catfish, is popular with fishermen. The park has a boat ramp for non-motorized and electric-powered boats. No gas motors are permitted on the lake. Park patrons must abide by Tennessee state fishing laws. The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency requires everyone ages 13 to 84 to have a valid Tennessee fishing license to fish.

Disc Golf

The park’s 18-hole disc golf course is open to the public. Disc golf tournaments are held regularly.

Pets

Dogs and other pets taken to the park are subject to the City of Cookeville’s leash law. Also, please respect others enjoying the park by picking up after your pet. Waste stations have been placed around the park for your convenience. (Please note that animals are not allowed at the Cane Creek SportsPlex.)

No Alcohol

Alcoholic beverages are not permitted in the park.
