The City of Cookeville takes pride in its residential, commercial, and industrial areas. We work hard to promote a clean, safe living environment by enforcing a set of rules, or codes, which support the health, welfare, and safety of our community.
Codes, such as the 2012 International Building, Residential, Plumbing, Mechanical, Fuel, and 2008 Electrical Codes, enable us to enforce these standards regulating land use and property maintenance. If you have a question about these codes, or about a possible violation of them, please refer to the Codes FAQ section. We will be happy to investigate your concerns or answer any questions you may have.
