Here are directions for setting up your utility account online. Existing customers are now able to view statements and pay their utility bill online. Please note a convenience fee is charged by our payment processor when paying with a credit or debit card.
Automatic Bank Draft
Customers may arrange to have their bill payments electronically debited from their bank accounts on the net due date. Any payment refused by the financial institution as non-payable will be assessed a returned check charge, unless the return was due to bank error. An electronic bank draft payment form (PDF) must be submitted along with a voided check.
Credit Card / Debit Card / E-Check Payments
You can pay your utility bill online using a credit card, debit card or e-check. A convenience fee of up to 2.45% will be assessed for each transaction. E-check is a fee of $1.00. Start managing and/or paying your bill online now. We also offer mobile a mobile app called "City of Cookeville Utilities" that is available at the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store.

You can pay by phone 24 hours a day by calling 931-286-7021. You will need your account number, when placing the call.
Municipal Building
Cash and check payments are accepted at the customer service counter and the drive through window at City Hall. For in-person debit, credit card or e-check payments, you can use the new payment kiosks located at City Hall (45 E Broad St) and the Cookeville Electric Department (55 W Davis Rd). For your convenience, we have a drive through window for utility bill payment and a night depository for after hours payments. Bills may be paid Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Municipal Building. Payment may also be made by mailing to:
