Alcoholic Beverage Control Board (ABC)
This board was established on September 20, 1988 by the Cookeville City Council – Ordinance 88117. Members must live inside the city limits of Cookeville.

Animal Control Board
The board was established by the intergovernmental committee and approved by the City Council on May 28, 2000 and County Commission on June 19, 2000.

Architectural Design Review Board
On June 18, 2009 the 5 member board was appointed by the Cookeville City Council with 2 members from the Planning Commission and 3 citizens at large with 1 being a registered architect or a registered landscape architect and the remaining 2 being owners of a business registered in Cookeville.

Board of Adjustments & Appeals
This board was established by the standard housing, building and plumbing codes - Municipal Code Title 12, Section 12-104.

Board of Zoning Appeals
The Cookeville Board of Zoning Appeals meets monthly, when business dictates, on the 2nd Thursday at 5:15 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Cookeville City Hall.

Environmental Appeals Board
The Environmental Appeals Board was established by Ordinance O04-06-11 and was approved by the City Council on July 15, 2004.

Highlands Residential Services
This board administers the housing projects in Cookeville and Monterey, including Walnut Village.

Historic Zoning Commission
The Cookeville Historic Zoning Commission meets monthly, when business dictates, on the 2nd Tuesday at 5 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Cookeville City Hall.

Hospital Board
Board members must be residents of Cookeville except medical staff of CRMC.

Industrial Development Board
This board was established on May 3, 1979 by the City Council.

Planning Commission
The Planning Commission prepares long and short range plans for the future development of the city and reviews all major street or utility improvements for compliance with city plans.

Sewer Regulations Appeals Board
This board was established in 1988 Ordinance 88126 and consists of five appointed members.

Tree Board
The board was established on August 4, 1988 by the City Council. It was recommended by the Cookeville Leisure Services department to deal with problems affecting trees in the City of Cookeville.
