911 Dial Restrictions
Dial 911 only in the case of life threatening emergencies or crimes in progress. The purpose of Putnam County’s 911 Emergency Telephone System is to provide an immediate response of police, fire, or medical personnel for emergency occurrences. To accomplish this, it is imperative that the calls received on 911 lines be restricted to those situations that require immediate dispatching of Police, Paramedic, or Fire Department personnel.
Report a Crime
If you are a victim or witness to a crime or you would like to report suspicious activity, please dial 911 for emergencies or call 931-526-2125 for non-emergency situations.
Pick up an Accident Report
If you need a copy of an accident report, please visit our Police Department. Incident Reports are available for $0.15 per page.

Local background checks are also available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Alarm Permit Application
Please print and complete the attached form before mailing it to address on the form along with a check for $12.00 for the application fee. Alternatively, the completed form and payment can be brought to the information window at the police department between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
