Beer Permit

On-premise beer permits are issued to restaurants that have a seating capacity of at least 40 people at tables.

Excavation Permit for Streets and Right-of-Ways

The City requires individuals, corporations, associations, utility districts, telecommunications companies, and all other entities to file a permit before excavating in or under any street, alley, right-of-way or public property within the City of Cookeville.

Pursuant to the City of Cookeville Municipal Code, Title 9, Chapter 1, Section 9-101, any business inside the corporate boundaries of the City of Cookeville is required to apply for a “Close Out” Sales Permit.

Mobile Food Vendors Permit

The City Clerk’s Office issues Mobile Food Vendor’s permits per Cookeville Municipal Code Title 9, Chapter 12, Section 9-1201 through Section 9-1211.

Noise Permit

Per Title 11, Chapter 2, Section 11-202 of the City of Cookeville Municipal Code a special noise permit shall be granted for limited exceptions from the provisions of this section.

The City of Cookeville issues permits for parades or street closures for events that will obstruct the public streets or rights of way per Municipal Code Title 16, Chapter 6, Section 16-610.

The City Clerk’s Office issues Peddler / Solicitor / Temporary Sales Vendor’s permits per Cookeville Municipal Code Title 9, Chapter 2, Section 9-201 through Section 9-213.
