[ARCHIVED] Register for Leisure Services spring softball by Friday

Registration for Cookeville Leisure Services’ spring co-ed church and recreation softball leagues is open through March 22.

Teams for both slow-pitch leagues will play a 12-game schedule at Cane Creek SportsPlex. Church teams play Mondays beginning April 1, while recreation teams play Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning April 2. Game times are 6, 7 or 8 p.m.

“It’s a fun time to get together with friends and teammates to enjoy the game while also sharpening your softball skills,” Jim Crea, Leisure Services athletics superintendent, said.

Teams will include five men and five women. Players must be at least 18 years old. Team fees are $285, plus a $25 sanction fee and $80 team player fee.

A coaches meeting is scheduled for March 28 at 6 p.m. at Cane Creek SportsPlex.

Rosters and fees are due by 4:30 p.m. Friday at Cane Creek SportsPlex, 2200 W. Jackson St. For more information, call 931-520-5224.
