Brown Bag Lunch Concert at Cookeville Depot

COOKEVILLE – Music and lunch are coming together Oct. 19 for the conclusion of this year's Brown Bag Lunch concert series at the Cookeville Depot Museum.

Jacob Hoot will perform 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Admission is free.

"Jacob Hoot is a talented singer-songwriter who plays a variety of music," Chad McDonald, Leisure Services cultural arts superintendent, said

The series kicked off Oct. 5 with Three Little Bops, followed by Jeremy Fritts on Oct. 12.

“The Brown Bag Lunch series is an opportunity to enjoy some great music outdoors and kick off the fall season,” McDonald said.

The series is sponsored by the Cookeville Arts Council and presented by the City of Cookeville Department of Leisure Services.

Lunches from Blue Coast Burrito are available to purchase on site beginning at 11 a.m.

“The atmosphere for these concerts is unique,” McDonald said. “Enjoying music while having lunch in the middle of the city’s busyness is a great way to spend a Friday afternoon.”

Limited seating on the museum’s east patio is provided, but attendees may also bring lawn chairs.

Brown Bag concerts feature a variety of musical styles that appeal to a wide range of attendees, from local business people to retirees to students.

The Cookeville Depot Museum is located at 116 W. Broad St. For more information, call 931-520-4386.
