[ARCHIVED] East Cookeville Substation Power Transformer

The second of two (2) Power Transformers will be delivered Friday, August 31st to East Cookeville Substation. The first unit was delivered in July and is expected to be put in service on Thursday, August 30th. The purchase price of $1.5 million was approved by the Cookeville City Council on 10/5/2017. The units are being replaced due to a failure of one of the existing transformers. Once installed, the new units will provide enhanced capacity and reliability for our electric customers.
