Get ready! Registration for Youth Volleyball opens Nov. 6 at the Cane Creek Gymnasium.

This eleven-week league is a fun opportunity for children and teens ages 7-15 years old. The league is divided into three divisions based on age. Teams will be chosen through a player evaluation on Jan. 6.

Practices begin in January. The six-game season begins on Feb. 3 and culminates in a tournament on Mar. 23. Most league games will be played on Saturday mornings.

“We’re so excited for this program!” Says Lori Medlin, Athletic Coordinator at the Cane Creek Gymnasium. “Volleyball is a growing sport for all age groups, and we’re happy to bring an avenue for kids to play and learn.”

According to Seth Bruton, Athletic Superintendent for Cookeville’s Leisure Services Department, this is the third season of the Youth Volleyball League. Bruton is thrilled to offer this program for a third time. He says, “we’re ecstatic to see the growth and popularity of this league over the short time we’ve offered it.”

Registration for the league is Nov. 6 – Jan. 5.  Parents can register their children either online or in-person. The registration fee is $50 per player. Team and Facility sponsorships are also available to interested businesses.

The volleyball league is offered by Cookeville’s Department of Leisure Services. For more information or to register, visit www.cookeville-tn.gov/ls/athletics, call 931-526-9767, or stop by Cane Creek Gymnasium at 180 CC Camp Road.
