Crisis Negotiation Team (CNT)

The Crisis Negotiation Team is responsible for responding to incidents that require expertise by officers specially trained in crisis negotiation. The CNT team currently has eight team members (seven sworn police officers and a psychological adviser). All officers train monthly, both as a team and with other specialized units as well. Examples of incidents that CNT may respond to include suicidal persons, hostage situations, and barricaded suspects.
