Cane Creek Park, located at 201 C C Camp Road, is a 262-acre regional park that features three shelters, numerous picnic tables with grills, several walking trails, a mountain bike trail, basketball and volleyball courts, play equipment, 18-hole disc golf course, paddleboat rentals and a concession stand.
LAKEVIEW SHELTER: Located near the concession stand and paddleboat dock, this shelter can hold up to 50 people and may be rented for $8 per hour. Play equipment is close by.
HILLTOP SHELTER: This shelter is the second on the left when driving through the park. It holds up to 100 people and may be rented for $10 per hour. A playground and restrooms are nearby.
COURTSIDE SHELTER: This shelter is just past Hilltop Shelter on the right. It holds up to 100 people and may be rented for $10 per hour. Basketball and volleyball courts and play equipment are close.
Each shelter has at least one charcoal grill and a 110-volt outlet for small appliances only. Reserving parties are expected to leave the area reasonably clean and place all trash in cans. Shelters may be reserved by calling Cookeville Leisure Services at 931-520-4FUN (4386) or stopping by the office in the Cookeville Municipal Building at 45 E. Broad St. Payment is due when reservations are made. Reservations by phone may be completed with a credit card. Cash or check payments may be made in person at the Leisure Services office. Shelters may also be reserved online.

PADDLEBOAT RENTALS: Rent a paddleboat at the concession stand for $3 (two-seatboat) or $4 (four-seat boat) per half hour. Children 12 and under must wear a life jacket and have adult in the boat with them. Life jackets are available when boats are rented.
EQUIPMENT RENTALS: Athletic equipment such as basketballs, volleyballs, disc golf discs and fishing poles may be rented at the concession stand for $1 per hour.
FISHING: The lake, well stocked with rainbow trout, large-mouth bass, bluegill, crappie, carp and catfish, is popular with fishermen. The park has a boat ramp for non-motorized and electric-powered boats. No gas motors are permitted on the lake. Park patrons must abide by Tennessee state fishing laws. The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency requires everyone ages 13-84 to have a valid Tennessee fishing license to fish.
DISC GOLF: The park’s 18-hole disc golf course is open to the public. Disc golf tournaments are held regularly. See course map.
PETS: Dogs and other pets taken to the park are subject to the City of Cookeville’s leash law. Also, please respect others enjoying the park by picking up after your pet. Waste stations have been placed around the park for your convenience. (Please note that animals are not allowed at the Cane Creek SportsPlex.)
NO ALCOHOL: Alcoholic beverages are not permitted in the park.
